Spring is expected to start on a chilly note Friday with the high temperature only hitting 30 degrees and a low of 13 degrees Friday night.

According to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas, along with the low air temperatures, wind is expected to be steady which will cause it to feel even colder outside.

The National Weather Service is warning that the shift from rain to freezing temperatures Thursday night could create some freezing conditions on the roadways.

Saturday will be slightly warmer with a high of 36 degrees and partly sunny skies. Sunday is the beginning of more of a warm up with highs getting back into the mid-40s and lows above freezing. That trend of mild temperatures looks to continue into the next week.
