St. Thomas men’s hoops ready for jump up to D-1

One month from today — November 9 — the St. Thomas men’s hoops team will play its first D-1 game at Chicago State.
We spoke with coach Johnny Tauer and senior guard Ryan Lindberg about the countdown being on.

The Tommies will compete in the Summit League, which includes North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and Oral Roberts.
It’ll take some time for Tauer to build up the program. As of now, his roster has very, very little D-1 experience. But with a solid 2022 recruiting class committed already, progress should be noticeable in the coming years.
