Friday was a great day to get outside and enjoy the weather, but this weekend won’t be as nice.
KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said a storm system is expected to move right over the state Saturday.
Showers and thunderstorms will be widespread as the day starts and steady, cold rain will move through in the afternoon, Dahl said. Up to an inch of rain is likely in the southern part of the state with a rain/sleet mix starting in the late afternoon or evening hours.
Some of that mix could carry into Sunday morning but it’s not expected to accumulate much.
High temperatures Saturday will be in the upper 40s.
Looking ahead to next week, we’ll warm back up to the mid-50s and have some more sunshine to enjoy.
