Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular returns to the Minnesota Zoo

The Minnesota Zoo’s Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular returns Friday.

Thousands of artfully carved pumpkins will light up the trails at the zoo in Apple Valley.

"We draw them and carve them as full pumpkins. Then we gut them and that’s when you see them actually lit up. And the artists can come through and do minor tweaks and adjustments to their liking," Edward Cabral, the event’s art director, said.

The event runs through Nov. 7 and starts at 7 p.m. every night.

All tickets must be purchased in advanced and online.

Tickets are between $16 and $24.

There’s also late-night pricing available for extra savings.
