We caught up with former Vikings head coach Brad Childress. With the Vikings hosting Cleveland on Sunday, it’s the return of Kevin Stefanski. The Browns head coach was brought to Minnesota in 2006 by Childress.
Stefanski, who first connected with Childress as an intern with the Eagles, wore many hats in his 13 years with the Vikings. He started off as Childress’ assistant then elevated to offensive coordinator in 2019, a playoff season. Soon after the second round playoff loss at San Francisco, Stefanski landed the Browns head gig.

Childress, 65, is fully retired and has homes in Minnesota and Florida. He did spend some time during training camp at the Browns’ facility. He and Stefanski remain friends.
We also spoke with Childress about his thoughts on this year’s Vikings, how he analyzes Sunday’s matchup, and Kevin Williams, his former three-technique. Williams is entering the Vikings’ Ring of Honor on Sunday.
