The Original Mattress Factory teams up with Bridging for blanket drive

The Original Mattress Factory is teaming up with "Bridging" to give free blankets to families in need.

Executive Director of Bridging Mark Wilkening tells EYEWITNESS NEWS all about the event.

The Original Mattress Factory, Bring a Blanket Drive for Bridging, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at 12 Original Mattress Factory Twin Cities retail locations.

The public is encouraged to donate new or gently used blankets for distribution to local families in need.

This drive is Bridging’s primary means of securing blankets for the more than 5,000 beds they give away annually.

All sizes are needed, including throw, twin, full, king, and especially queen-sized blankets.

The first 20 donors at each location will receive a “secret envelope” that may contain concert tickets, movie passes, or other fun prizes (one envelope per donor, regardless of the number of blankets donated.)
