Gophers coach Whalen on giving up No. 13, playing UCONN, and more

While making the rounds at the Minnesota State Fair this week, Gophers coach Lindsay Whalen spoke with the KSTP Sports team.
Among a few talking points, she explained to us the reasoning behind unretiring her Gophers jersey No. 13 for this year. Whalen is allowing 6th year senior Gadiva Hubbard to wear it.

In her three seasons guiding the Gophers, Whalen has led the program to a 45-39 mark. Recruiting has been going well, with Whalen securing a few commitments over the next couple years.
