Drought conditions improve slightly in western, southern Minnesota
Drought conditions in western and southern Minnesota have made slight improvements in the last two weeks, according to a new U.S. Drought Monitor map released Thursday.
The improvements are being attributed to some recent rainfall.
Small patches of the state have returned to no drought conditions. However, wildfires in northern Minnesota persist and drought conditions there haven’t improved.
This week’s @DroughtCenter map shows improvements in southern and western MN from recent rains. Though there was little relief in northern MN. For info and resources, visit our website: https://t.co/4VD68nRqhn #MNAg #mnwx #drought21 pic.twitter.com/lp3lCE8XCO
