The Vikings (0-1) and Cardinals (1-0) matchup for the 29th time and the 8th in Arizona. The Vikings last played in Arizona in 2015, coach Mike Zimmer’s second year. The Cardinals are coming off of a 38-13 road win at Tennessee, while the Vikings dropped a game in overtime at Cincinnati.
Cousins touched on the first game with new play-caller Klint Kubiak, the lack of downfield passes vs. the Bengals, and how dominant Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones is — he had 5 sacks in the win vs. the Titans.
Cousins was also asked about how rare it is that the entire NFC North went winless. Technically, because they didn’t play a conference game, the Vikings have the tiebreaker over the Packers, Bears, and Lions 🙂
