Vikings coach Mike Zimmer on fixing penalty problem and Arizona

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer met with reporters on Wednesday in Eagan. One of many topics he was asked about is the health of LB Anthony Barr (knee), who didn’t practice on the first day of preparing for the Arizona Cardinals.

Zimmer also touched on Arizona pass rusher Chandler Jones. He finished Week 1’s win over Tennessee with five sacks, six quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles to earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
As for the double-digit penalties that his team committed in the loss at Cincinnati, Zimmer said that he’s not against running players more.
The 0-1 Vikings play at the 1-0 Cardinals at 3:05 p.m. Sunday. Every team in the NFC North went winless in Week 1.
