Man surrenders after 12-hour standoff with police in Eagan

A man in Eagan surrendered to police after an almost 12 hour standoff Sunday.

At 6:41 a.m., the Eagan Police Department got a report of a man threatening to set fire inside his home on Jurdy Road. The person who called 911 told dispatch that they woke to the man pouring gasoline inside the house and saying he would set the building on fire.

Upon arrival, officers could smell gasoline from the home. There were no injuries, according to police, and all residents were able to escape after police arrived, except the instigator.
