Wolves VP Sachin Gupta excited for opportunity to run front office

Wolves vice president of operations Sachin Gupta and coach Chris Finch collectively met with reporters Monday during the team’s Media Day.

Gupta has final say in the front office after the firing of president of operations Gersson Rosas last week. He was hired soon after Rosas took over May 2019 after working for the Detroit Pistons. He’s also spent time in the front offices of Houston and Philadelphia, and finished runner-up last year for the Sacramento president of operations job.
Finch is set to embark Tuesday on his first training camp as an NBA head coach. He took over the Wolves in February and led the team to a 16-25 record in 41 games, with a 9-7 finish.
