Three-vehicle crash involving squad car Sunday injures three

Three vehicles, including a police squad car, collided in Minneapolis Sunday morning.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 11:33 a.m., a squad car in non-emergency mode was travelling north on Emerson Avenue North when a second car ran a red light coming from Emerson Avenue North and struck the squad. The car then hit a third vehicle.

While the damage was "pretty spectacular," police said, passengers had non-life-threatening injuries. Three people, including a police officer, were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital.
