Vikings WR Adam Thielen calls Saturday’s loss ’embarrassing’

Even though he and 20 other starters didn’t play, Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen called Saturday’s 33-6 loss vs. Denver, "embarrassing."

The only starter who played in Saturday’s game was whoever wins the defensive end battle between Stephen Weatherly and DJ Wonnum. All players who are healthy are expected to play next Saturday night vs. the Colts in the second of three preseason games.

The Vikings need to get from 90 to 85 players by Tuesday afternoon. Then from 85 to 80 by Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 24. The big roster cutdown will come Aug. 31, when it goes from 80 to 53.
