Wolves’ Beasley released from jail
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley has been released from jail after serving time for making violent threats last September.
Beasley was released Tuesday at 7:09 a.m. after serving 78 days of his 120-day sentence.
Beasley is entering his third season with the Timberwolves after being acquired by the team ahead of the 2019-20 trade deadline.
Last season, he played in just 37 games due to suspension and injuries, averaging 19.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.8 minutes per game. He also shot 44% from the field and 39.9% from three.
He’s entering the second year of a four-year extension with Minnesota.
