Flash flood watch issued for southeastern Minnesota

UPDATE: A tornado watch has been allowed to expire early in southeastern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service has now issued a flash flood watch until Saturday morning in Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona counties.

A tornado watch has been issued for the southeastern edge of Minnesota, as well as northeastern Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin, Friday night.

The tornado watch runs until 11 p.m. Friday and affects the following Minnesota counties: Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Olmsted and Winona counties.

Scattered hail, wind gusts up to 70 mph and tornadoes are possible.
