Maple Grove beats Rogers 6-1 in girls hockey

The Maple Grove girls hockey team got off to a fast start and beat Rogers 6-1 on Wednesday night. The Crimson are ranked 8th in Class 2A and got a huge lift from sophomore Ella Olson, who scored three goals.

Maple Grove scored four goals in the first period and put the game away early. Senior forward Sam Stelljes added two goals for the Crimson.
Maple Grove senior goalie Brooke Cassibo saved 24 of 25 shots, while Rogers goalie Lauren Larson had 20 saves.
Maple Grove will face Anoka/Spring Lake Park on Friday night. Rogers will take on Osseo/ Park Center on Saturday afternoon.
