MDH reports 1 additional influenza-related hospitalization

In it’s weekly flu report, the Minnesota Department of Health reported one additonal hospitalization.

The newest hospitilaztion brings the total to 32 hospitalizations this flu season.

MDH reports 2 additional flu deaths, 4 hospitalizations

A total of five deaths have been reported, according to the report.

No new school outbreaks were reported last week, and only three total have been reported so far this season. The same goes for outbreaks in long-term care facilities, with only two flu outbreaks reported in those settings this season.

According to MDH, both influenza A and B are prevalent in Minnesota.
