COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 11 new deaths, 1,239 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Thursday announced 11 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,140 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 52 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 25,142.

A total of 553,110 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 1,239 new cases reported Thursday.

As of Thursday, DHS reports that more than 3.1 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 3.6%.

DHS said the state has been allocated 1,152,025 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 860,389 had been administered as of Thursday, and 196,991 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
