A driver was killed after a crash on I-494 in Bloomington Monday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The State Patrol said the incident occurred on eastbound I-494 at France Avenue.
The incident report says a Dodge Caravan that was driving in the exit-only lane drifted and sideswiped a Subaru Forrester. The Dodge Caravan went on to make contact with a semi-trailer.
The State Patrol identified the driver of the Dodge Caravan only as 78-year-old Werner Grant Remmen, of Golden Valley.
The drivers of the semi and Subaru Forrester were not injured in the crash.
The crash caused a portion of I-494 to close down Monday afternoon.
