Authorities on Tuesday recovered a body from a lake in Eagan.
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office said the Eagan police and fire departments responded with deputies to Schulze Lake beach in Lebanon Hills Park at about 9:45 a.m. after a visitor reported a body was in the water.
Crews with the Eagan Fire Department recovered a man’s body from near the swimming area a short time later.
According to the sheriff’s office, park security cameras showed a person matching the victim’s description exit a vehicle in the parking lot on Sunday afternoon and then walk toward the beach.
The victim’s identity and cause of death will be released at a later time.
The beach was closed during the recovery Tuesday, but has since reopened.
An investigation is underway.
