Risk of strong thunderstorms, rain, wind, flash flooding and hail Saturday afternoon

Strong thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening between from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Twin Cities.

As storms move east across central and southern Minnesota, they could produce severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, flash flooding and possible tornadoes in the evening. Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas has the full forecast.

Smoke from fires in Canada continues to linger over the state throughout the next few days — the most dense smoke being in northern Minnesota.
