The Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis announced Tuesday that it will require guests to provide proof of being fully vaccinated or a recent negative test for COVID-19.
The Cedar said the new policy will go into effect on Friday. A COVID-19 vaccination card that shows a vaccine series completed at least 14 days before the event or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event will be required for entry.
What locations are requiring COVID-19 vaccination? Here’s a list
Proof of vaccine or a negative test can come in the form of a physical vaccination card, a printed out negative test result or a digital document on a mobile device, such as a photo of a vaccination card.
Anyone who doesn’t meet the requirements under the new policy is eligible for a refund.
The Cedar is the latest music venue in the Twin Cities to require vaccines or proof of a negative test for all concertgoers. First Avenue and its associated venues — 7th Street Entry, Turf Club, Fine Line Café, The Fitzgerald Theater and Palace Theatre — announced such a policy last week.
