COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 1 new death, 750 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Monday announced one new death related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 5,897 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 39 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 24,337.

A total of 543,165 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 750 new cases reported Monday.

As of Monday, DHS reports that more than 3.05 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 19.5%.

DHS said the state has been allocated 846,300 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 551,963 had been administered as of Monday, and 101,551 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
