COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 40 new deaths, 1,095 new cases

Wisconsin health officials on Tuesday announced 40 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 5,937 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 123 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 24,460.
A total of 544,260 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 1,095 new cases reported Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, DHS reports that more than 3.05 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 19.7%.
DHS said the state has been allocated 846,300 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 578,336 had been administered as of Tuesday, and 108,713 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
