2 taken to hospital with 'significant injuries' after assault in Buffalo County
Two people were taken to a hospital with "significant injuries" after an assault Tuesday morning in Buffalo County, Wisconsin.
The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office said it received several reports of an assault on Weisenbeck Road in the town of Nelson at about 9:47 a.m.
Two men were assaulted and airlifted to a hospital. The sheriff's office said the assailants and victims knew each other, and there is no threat to the public.
Chovis T. Concoa, 30, and Erick Tlatemohue Tepole, 28, were later identified as suspects, and arrest warrants were issued for both, according to the sheriff's office.
The investigation remains active.
Both victims remained hospitalized with serious injuries as of Thursday afternoon.
