Minneapolis man sentenced in fatal shooting of 16-year-old

A Minneapolis man was sentenced Tuesday in connection to the shooting death of a 16-year-old, according to a release from the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.
The release said 21-year-old Andre Owens was sentenced to 31 years in prison.
Owens pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder earlier this month in the death of Quayshun Felton.
According to a criminal complaint, Minneapolis police were called about a possible shooting in the area of Colfax Avenue N. and 30th Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. on July 19. When officers arrived, they found Felton lying on the street unresponsive, bleeding from his head.

Felton was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Dash camera footage from a vehicle parked nearby captured the shooting and showed two suspects on bicycles as the shooters. The complaint states Felton's friend, who was with him at the time of the shooting, knew and recognized the shooters and identified Owens as one of them.
Owens was arrested on Aug. 15 and admitted to being one of the shooters, police said.
