MDH reports 2 additional flu deaths, 4 hospitalizations

In its weekly flu report, the Minnesota Department of Health reported two additional flu-related deaths.
That now brings total flu deaths to five this season.
MDH reports 1 additional hospitalization in weekly influenza report
Four additional hospitalizations in the last week also brings the state to a total of 31 hospitalizations.
No new school outbreaks were reported last week, and only three total have been reported so far this season. The same goes for outbreaks in long-term care facilities, with only two flu outbreaks reported in those settings this season.
According to MDH, both influenza A and B are prevalent in Minnesota.
