Driver escapes injury after truck falls through ice on Kandiyohi County lake

A truck fell through the ice on a Kandiyohi County lake on Friday, according to authorities.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report that a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado fell through the ice on South Long Lake at about 4:51 p.m.
The sheriff’s office said the truck fell through near an area that was marked with "thin ice" signs.
Fortunately, the 46-year-old driver of the truck wasn’t injured. However, the incident forced officials to close the boat access on the east side of the lake.
