Champlin Park stays unbeaten with a 66-54 win over Blaine

Champlin Park received 23 points from both Joshua Strong and Dylan Gichaba in a 12 point win over Blaine 66-54 on Friday night.

Champlin Park used great ball movement to get easy baskets in the lane, mixed in with the sharp shooting by Strong and Adrian Mogaka. The Rebels led the Bengals 30-25 at the half.

Champlin Park got off on an 8-0 run to start the second half to give the Rebels a 14 point lead, but Blaine’s Samuel Olson kept the Bengals in the game with 21 points. Champlin Park pulled away with four minutes remaining and led by as many as 16 points.

With the win, Champlin Park is now 7-0 and is still ranked No. 1 in Class 4A.
