Alibi Drinkery co-owner charged after allegedly assaulting Jimmy John’s worker in Rosemount

The co-owner of Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville has been charged after allegedly slapping a Jimmy John’s employee.

According to the complaint, 40-year-old Ricardo Manuel Baldazo is charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.

The complaint stated that on Jan. 30 at 7:34 p.m., Rosemount police officers responded to an assault in progress at a Jimmy Johns on Clarent Avenue. Once officers arrived, they spoke to an employee, who was visibly upset.

The employee said that a woman entered the restaurant without wearing a mask and the employee asked her about wearing a mask, which turned into an argument.

According to the complaint, Baldazo entered the restaurant and started arguing with the employee, then walked over, reached over the counter to the employee and slapped him in the face and pulled on his mask. Baldazo then walked out of the restaurant and left in a white SUV.

Prior Lake man charged with attempting to kill 2 Burnsville police officers

Baldazo has been previously charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of first-degree assault against two Burnsville police officers in 2020.
