Wild general manager Bill Guerin met with reporters on Monday morning to discuss the COVID outbreak that is impacting his team.
Guerin said that nine players and one staff member have tested positive and that he fully expects more to pop up. He said there are players showing symptoms — achiness and loss of taste and smell.

The players on the NHL’s COVID list are Nico Sturm, Brad Hunt, Ian Cole, Nick Bjugstad, Jared Spurgeon, Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Foligno, Marcus Johansson, and Nick Bonino.
Update Monday afternoon: Victor Rask and Carson Soucy have been added to the Covid list.
Goalie Alex Stalock, who hasn’t played this year, was previously on the list. First round pick Marco Rossi is back home in Austria, dealing with fallout from Covid.
The Wild have a 4:30 p.m. conference call today with the league office to discuss the future. As of now, the Wild are scheduled to practice on Wednesday, then host St. Louis on Thursday. But Guerin made it clear that he thinks the team needs more time off. Minimum, the Thursday game seems highly unlikely to be played, as scheduled.
