Twins reliever Taylor Rogers named to first All-Star Game
Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers was named to his first All-Star Game on Monday night.
Andrew Kittredge of the Rays and Rogers are replacements for the inactive Gerrit Cole and Yusei Kikuchi.
Rogers, a Denver native, will get a chance to pitch in front of friends and family at Coors Field on Tuesday night. He joins Nelson Cruz as Twins representatives at this year’s midsummer classic.
Rogers is 2-3 with a 3.35 ERA this season. He has 54 strikeouts in 37.2 innings pitched in 2021.
