Twins reinstate Coulombe, option Burrows
Monday, the Minnesota Twins reinstated pitcher Danny Coulombe from the paternity list and optioned pitcher Beau Burrows to Triple-A St. Paul.
Coulombe and his wife, Lauren, recently welcomed their second son, Thomas. In six games for the Twins this season, Coulombe has a 1.13 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
Burrows was optioned to make room on the roster for Coulombe. In his one appearance for the Twins on Saturday, Burrows threw 1.1 innings, giving up two hits while striking out one.
Additionally, the Twins added pitcher Griffin Jax to the roster as the 27th man for Monday’s doubleheader. Jax has an 8.66 ERA over 17.2 innings for the Twins this season. He’s scheduled to start the team’s first game on Monday.
