Man dead after being hit by train in Buffalo

A man is dead after he was struck by a Canadian Pacific train Wednesday morning.

According to Buffalo Police, the man was hit on the train tracks near the Fifth Street Northeast crossing at about 5:05 a.m. and was dead by the time law enforcement arrived at the scene.

His identity has not yet been released, but police said he’s a 37-year-old Buffalo resident.

An investigation is underway.
