Carter spoke about why he chose Michigan State, what his official visit to the campus was like, if his old Minnehaha/SMB friend Terry Lockett being in the Michigan State program had any impact on his decision, why he chose Michigan State over Iowa, what it will be like to play against the University of Minnesota every year, if not being recruited by the Gophers left a bad taste in his mouth, how hard it was to pick football over basketball, and how much of a relief it is to be committed.
Carter, the son of former Gophers forward Randy Carter, also had D-1 basketball opportunities.
SMB is a co-op with Minnehaha Academy, Blake, and St. Paul Academy.
