Timberwolves to host open scrimmage, offer free tickets to game

The Minnesota Timberwolves are planning to host an open scrimmage next month and are offering tickets to a regular-season game for people who attend.

The organization said the scrimmage will be held during the Summer League Jam Session on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at Target Center.

The event is free to attend and those who come will receive two tickets to an October home game, compliments of the team’s two new minority owners.

Also, the organization said assistant coach Joseph Blair will coach Minnesota’s Summer League team this year.
