Twins recall Rooker from St. Paul

After trading star slugger Nelson Cruz on Thursday, the Minnesota Twins have recalled Brent Rooker from Triple-A St. Paul to fill the open roster spot.
Rooker, 26, has hit .239 with 19 home runs and 48 RBIs in 61 games for the Saints this season — the most homers among Triple-A players.
Additionally, the Twins added Drew Strotman, one of the pitchers acquired in the trade of Cruz, to the 40-man roster.
