It’s a busy stretch for the Timberwolves with the NBA Draft, the start of free agency, and the Vegas Summer League all happening in the next few weeks.

While the Wolves don’t currently hold a draft pick, they have had trade talks about acquiring one, plus they’ll be active afterwards in trying to sign an undrafted free agent or two.

The Wolves are also up against it salary cap-wise, but the start of the draft and free agency spurs a lot more trade dialogue.

We caught up with president Gersson Rosas, via Zoom, to talk draft, Anthony Edwards’ ankle injury, the future of 2020 1st round pick Leandro Bolmaro, and a lot more.

Rosas noted that the Timberwolves’ No. 1 need this offseason is to add help in the frontcourt. With Karl-Anthony Towns’ versatility, that could be a power forward or center.

The Wolves will host a free scrimmage at Target Center on Friday night, August 6. Jaden McDaniels and others who will be on the summer league roster will participate.
