Over 295K pounds of beef recalled due to E. coli concerns

Greater Omaha Packaging recalled over 295,000 pounds of raw beef on Thursday due to possible E. coli contamination.

The products affected were distributed to Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana and Nebraska, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS).

The FSIS suggests contacting a doctor if there is concern over contamination.

In a statement, FSIS said they found the possible contamination during a routine product sample test.
