State Patrol honors local heroes

On Wednesday, the Minnesota State Patrol took time to pay respects to heroes in our local communities.

Over the past year, many people have displayed the courage it takes to protect and serve residents all over the state.

The State Patrol honored 78 people, including citizens, troopers, emergency responders and other law enforcement. The awards handed out for reflecting leadership, service, and lifesaving efforts, among others, including trooper of the year.

The State Patrol said the award ceremony is a great moment to remind everyone of the lifesaving work done each and every day.
