Park Center junior Braeden Carrington is a humble young man. However, his play on the basketball court makes plenty of noise and that’s why the Gophers want him
"His maturity is through the roof. He (Carrington) learned a lot from Dain Dainja before Dain went to Baylor University to continue his basketball career. Braeden doesn’t let things get to him he makes everyone around him better," said Park Center head coach James Ware.

Carrington is a junior in a very talented Minnesota 2022 class. He’s got college offers from the University of Minnesota, Florida, Missouri, and Seton Hall. He’s also drawn interest from Baylor, Western Kentucky, St. Thomas and other schools. For now, he keeps recruiting close to the vest while he focuses on this high school season.
"I don’t think too much about the recruiting process during the season. I try to focus on the task at hand which is get our team the best we can get so we can hopefully get to the state tournament," said Carrington.
Park Center is currently 2-1 on the season, with Carrington averaging nearly 12 points a game. Monday night, the Pirates will host Maple Grove at 7:00 p.m.
