TRIA Prep Sports Salute, Dec. 9: Gophers commit Luther McCoy

Every Wednesday at 6:50 p.m., we send a salute out to a high school athlete.

This week’s TRIA Prep Sports Salute committed to the Gophers today and his name is Luther McCoy, a defensive tackle from Saint Augustine, Florida.

McCoy committed to the Gophers over reported offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Baylor, Nebraska and Florida State, among others.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle received the offer from the Gophers in the summer.
