Wolves struggle in preseason loss vs. Memphis
The Timberwolves played poorly for a second consecutive preaseason game vs. Memphis, falling 123-104 at Target Center Monday night.
The Wolves had 23 turnovers and Memphis led by as much as 26 and was up 14 after one. Memphis shot 54% in the first half on its way to 50% for the game.
Veteran Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who signed a training camp deal with the Wolves, showed that he deserves more minutes. He had 17 points (6-for-6), to go along with two blocks and two steals.
D’Angelo Russell led the Wolves with 19 points in 24 minutes of action, while Karl-Anthony Towns had 14 in 27 minutes, and top pick Anthony Edwards had 12 in 26 minutes.
The Wolves play their final preseason game on Thursday at Dallas.
