1 killed in Pierce County crash

One person was killed Wednesday in a crash in Pierce County, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reports the crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 63 and County Road Y.

The incident report says a Kia Rio was traveling northbound on Highway 63 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound Buick Envision.

The state patrol said the passenger of the Buick died. The driver was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were considered life-threatening.

The driver of the Kia was also taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
