Final prep football rankings for 2020 season

The final Associated Press rankings for the 2020 Minnesota High School Football season have been released.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no State Tournament was held this season.

The final #1-ranked teams in each class are:

  • 6A: Lakeville South
  • 5A: Moorhead
  • 4A: Fridley
  • 3A: Annandale
  • 2A: Caledonia
  • 1A: Blooming Prairie
  • 9M: Hills-Beaver Creek

Caledonia and Blooming Prairie are defending class champions. Caledonia is amid a run of a state record five championships.

Lakeville South and Annandale have never won championships.

Moorhead’s only state title came in 1987. Both Fridley and Hills-Beaver Creek won their lone championships in 1990.
