Three players – Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen – gained more than 100-yards against Houston in the Vikings 31-23 win. It’s the first time the Vikings have had three players over 100 yards since Robert Smith, Cris Carter and Randy Moss all hit triple digit yardage back in the 2000 season.

Adding to the Vikings offensive diversity was a defensive effort that included holding Houston to zero touchdowns in three red zone trips.

The result? Avoiding an 0-4 start with the first win of the season.

The Vikings defensive effort was far from perfect, but it was enough to win. It came despite star safety Harrison Smith being ejected for a helmet-to-helmet hit in the first half of the game.
