Edina shuts out Bloomington Jefferson in section playoffs, 4-0

The Edina boys soccer team extends its winning streak to seven with a 4-0 win over Bloomington Jefferson in the first round of the Class 2AA section playoffs.
Bloomington Jefferson gave the 9-2 Hornets all they could handle in the first half. Jaguars goalkeeper Cormac Merrill was sensational, not allowing a goal in the first half and making six saves.

Edina wore down the Jaguars in the second half scoring three times in eight minutes and never looked back. Goalscorers for Edina include Henry Rose, Johnny Buenz, Jackson Holley and Sammy Presthus.
Edina will face Minnetonka in the Class 2AA section semifinals on Tuesday.
