#4 Minnetonka volleyball remains unbeaten, defeat #8 STMA in four sets

The #4 Minnetonka Skippers volleyball team defeated the #8 St. Michael Albertville Knights, 3-1, Tuesday evening at Minnetonka High School.

In the first set, STMA took it 25-23 behind an Olivia Carel set-ending kill.
The Skippers bounced back in the second set in a dominant way, taking the set 25-12.
It was a hard-fought third set that went back-and-forth. But, Minnetonka’s Sonia Dahlin had the set-ending kill for the Skippers, giving them the 25-19 set win.
In the fourth set, Minnetonka jumped out to a commanding lead. STMA clawed all the way back and made it a 23-21 score. But, Minnetonka’s Kali Engeman, a Georgia Tech commit, had the match-ending block for the Skippers, giving them a 25-22 set win.
STMA dropped to 3-2, while Minnetonka improved to 6-0.
