13-year old driving circles around competition

He may be a few years from having a driver’s license, but 13-year old Eden Prairie native William Sawalich is still driving circles around the competition on the race track.
Sawalich recently won a legends race at Elko Speedway against opponents who were two-to-three times his age.
"I like the speed, competitiveness and you can make a lot of friends," Sawalich says.
His parents saw that he was crazy about cars at a very young age.
"He’s had a passion for it since he was two," his mom Stacy says. "Whether its NASCAR, monster truck, Hot Wheels – anything he could look at or play with that had wheels."
